About the Office

The Office of Main Registrar is the central academic and administrative office of Mattu University responsible for managing, preserving, verifying, and providing official student and academic records. It oversees the full academic registrar functions throughout a student's time at the University, from admission and enrolment through registration, academic progression, transfers and withdrawals, graduation, and certification, and continues to serve students as alumni through transcript, verification, and document services.

The Office works closely with colleges, departments, the Ministry of Education, AEAS, and other universities and institutions to keep academic and student information accurate, secure, confidential, and readily accessible. As part of the University's broader digital transformation agenda, it is modernizing registrar services through integrated information systems, electronic services, and digital archiving, improving and strengthening data management, and enhancing the overall student experience.

The Office is committed to providing professional, transparent, efficient, and student-centered service in support of Mattu University's academic mission.

 Message from the Director

Welcome to the Office of Main Registrar of Mattu University.

The Office plays a fundamental role in supporting the University's academic mission through the effective management of student and academic records and the provision of reliable registry services. Accurate and secure academic records matter not only to students and graduates, but to the University's planning, accountability, and institutional development as a whole.

Our commitment is to deliver efficient, accurate, transparent, and secure service, and to keep improving how we work as the needs of our students and academic community evolve. As part of the University's digital transformation agenda, we are strengthening our integrated information systems, digital records, and electronic services, reducing manual processes, improving accessibility, and safeguarding institutional records for the long term.

We believe effective registrar service is built on integrity, accuracy, accountability, confidentiality, and respect for the students and stakeholders we serve. The Office will continue working collaboratively with colleges, departments, and administrative offices across the University to build a modern, responsive, and digitally enabled registrar system.

Core Services

The Office manages the complete student academic lifecycle. On the admissions side, it coordinates student placement, enrolment, and registration, maintaining accurate records of academic status and progression in coordination with colleges, departments, and academic units.

At the center of its work is the creation, verification, and safekeeping of official student and academic records — including responding to student and graduate requests for transcripts and other academic documents, and processing transfers, withdrawals, readmissions, and other authorized changes to student status.

The Office coordinates graduation and certification, verifying graduate eligibility, preparing graduation lists, and maintaining permanent graduate records, and it manages examination-related records in coordination with relevant academic and external bodies. It also compiles and verifies academic and student data to support institutional statistics, planning, and reporting.

A growing part of the Office's work is digital: converting existing records into structured digital archives to improve their security and long-term preservation, and expanding electronic registrar services to make service delivery faster, more accessible, and less dependent on manual, paper-based processes.
